Ben Carson has started the #IAmAChristian movement with a simple photo. Others are following his muted example.
WASHINGTON, October 8, 2015 – There is a growing movement moving across the nation, and even the Rev. Franklin Graham and Sarah Palin are joining it. It is Ben Carson’s #IAmAChristian Movement, which has now gone viral, according to CNS.
GOP presidential candidate Carson shared a photo of himself on Facebook and Twitter that shows him holding a sign reading “I Am A Christian.” One can also see a fish symbol, which was used by early Christians.
The photo of Carson was a direct result of the candidate’s apparent strong demonstration of his Christian faith a day after the tragic execution of nine innocent people at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. The gunman seemingly targeted his victims based upon their Christian faith.
In fact, according to the New York Post, the killer asked each victim one by one, “Are you a Christian?” A parent of one of the victims reported that the gunman then said, “if you’re a Christian, stand up. And they would stand up and he said, ‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you are going to see God in just about one second.’ And then he shot and killed them.”
