FREEDOM’S GATE: Christian civil rights call to action movement for America

WASHINGTON, August 25, 2015 — Is it criminal to be a Christian in America? That question which may get an answer that millions of American Christians won’t like in coming months and years.

For many Christians, the criminalization of Christianity began when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage in June. This decision for many Christian leaders as well as four dissenting justices represented a possible disenfranchisement of Christian civil rights and was in direct confrontation with the U.S. Constitution.
In fact, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas totally disagreed with the court’s decision on gay marriage. He wrote that the majority’s decision was “at odds not only with the Constitution, but with the principles upon which our nation were built.” Justice Thomas added that the five liberal justices were invoking a definition of “liberty” that the Constitution’s framers “would not have recognized, to the detriment of the liberty they sought to protect,” according to National Journal.
