The Social Media Joke That Became A National Threat To Our U.S.Military Over Area 51

What started as a joke on social media⏤has quickly grew out of control with millennial UFO enthusiasts. Over one million plus people and growing, have pledged on Facebook and Twitter to meet up and storm Area 51 on September 20th at 3:00am.
How ridiculous you say this is? The United States government is taking it seriously enough to address this alarming and childish notion. Recently, the U.S. Military issued a strong warning to potential future invaders who entertain the idea of trespassing onto the unforgiving grounds, deep within the Nevada dessert, known as of Area 51.
They call their group “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All Of Us” Check out their Facebook and Twitter pages for comments posted, and Twitter is filled with an abundance of creative Memes.
Surely this is no joking matter and taken very serious at the Pentagon, so much so that Airforce spokesperson Laura McAndrews said in a statement to the Washington Post:
“Area 51 is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces,” a US “The U.S Airforce always stands ready to protect America and its assets.”
Curiosity and mystery embroiled in secrecy and conspiracy, surround the energy of Area 51, with a history of folklores regarding UFO’s, all this intrigue combined with the magic of social media, enhance this coast to coast trend currently building among the young and naïve millennials who are promising they will infiltrate the secret X-File military base of Area 51.
They claim in some of their comments, they will protest for the truth concerning extraterrestrial life and information regarding UFO’s that the government is keeping from the American people.
One of the comments reads, “We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry, if we Naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets, let’s see them aliens,” “they can’t shoot all of us.”
According to Metro News Source, who interviewed Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for the Ministry of Defense, issued advice to anyone contemplating this crazy plot to storm the area, he stated:
“I understand people’s curiosity about Area 51 and about government UFO secrets more generally, and I completely support people’s right to undertake a legal, peaceful protest, but that’s not how this event is being billed, “Storm Area 51 clearly implies illegal trespass onto a military installation and that’s a recipe for disaster.
I utterly condemn such an action. It’s irresponsible, illegal and potentially dangerous. “Trespass on a military base is a federal offense and people run the risk of getting jail time, a fine and a criminal record. Warning signs at Area 51 even state that the use of lethal force is authorized.
This is unlikely and guards are only authorized to open fire in exceptional circumstances, such as if they believe they’re in imminent danger themselves, but who knows what might happen, if things get out of hand? If a large crowd is rushing towards a guard and some idiot tries to grab his gun, it’s easy to envisage a situation where someone might open fire.
If anyone thinks this is impossible, they should remember that as recently as February a man was shot and killed at a Navy base in Texas, after he crashed his vehicle into a security barrier and charged towards the guards.
